Social Media and Device Usage Policy

At Eurasia Educational Dynamics (EED), we understand the significance of social media and personal devices in the context of our programme. To ensure that all delegates have a positive and productive experience, we have established the following policy regarding the on-site use of social media, mobile telephones, tablets, and cameras:

Responsible Use Guidelines:

  1. Respect Privacy: Delegates must respect the privacy of their fellow participants and refrain from sharing personal or confidential information without explicit consent. This includes refraining from posting photos, videos, or any other content that may compromise the privacy of individuals within the programme.
  2. Maintain Professionalism: All interactions on social media platforms should uphold professional standards and reflect positively on the programme. Delegates are expected to exercise good judgment and refrain from engaging in any behaviour that could tarnish the reputation of the programme or its participants.
  3. Adhere to Copyright Laws: Delegates must respect copyright laws and refrain from posting or sharing copyrighted material without permission. This includes but is not limited to photos, videos, articles, and other intellectual property.
  4. Prevent Cyberbullying: Any form of cyberbullying, harassment, or intimidation on social media platforms is strictly prohibited. Delegates are expected to treat others with respect and kindness both online and offline, and any instances of cyberbullying will be addressed promptly and seriously.
  5. Designated Usage Areas: Personal devices should only be used in designated areas to minimise disruptions during programme activities. Delegates are encouraged to be present and engaged during scheduled sessions and to limit their device usage to breaks or designated free time.
  6. Obtain Consent: Before taking photos or videos of other participants, delegates must obtain explicit consent from all individuals involved. This includes ensuring that individuals are aware of the intended use of the media and are comfortable with their image being captured and potentially shared.
  7. Maintain Confidentiality: Delegates are responsible for safeguarding confidential information shared during programme activities and must refrain from sharing sensitive or proprietary material on social media platforms.

Consequences of Violations:

Violations of this policy may result in disciplinary action, including but not limited to:

  • Verbal or written warnings
  • Restrictions on device usage
  • Removal from specific programme activities
  • Expulsion from the programme

The severity of the consequences will depend on the nature and impact of the violation, as well as any previous incidents of misconduct.

By adhering to these guidelines, delegates can contribute to a respectful and conducive learning environment that values privacy, professionalism, and responsible digital citizenship.
