Eurasia Educational Dynamic’s (EED’s) Reasonable Adjustment Policy
- Purpose
Eurasia Educational Dynamics (EED) is committed to providing an inclusive, respectful, and supportive learning environment for all delegates. EED recognises that some individuals may face barriers to participation due to disabilities, medical conditions, or specific learning needs, and is committed to taking reasonable steps to remove or reduce such barriers.
This policy sets out how EED will identify, assess, and implement reasonable adjustments to ensure that all delegates are able to access and benefit from its programmes as fully as possible.
- Legal and Regulatory Framework
This policy is informed by the principles set out in the Equality Act 2010, which requires organisations to take reasonable steps to avoid substantial disadvantage to individuals with protected characteristics, including disability.
EED also aligns its approach with good practice in inclusive education and equal opportunity, ensuring fairness, dignity, and respect for all delegates.
- Scope
This policy applies to all delegates participating in EED programmes, including:
- Executive education programmes
- Undergraduate and postgraduate short courses
- Customised corporate programmes
- International and partnership-based programmes
It applies across all stages of the delegate journey, including:
- Application and pre-programme arrangements
- Teaching and learning activities
- Group work and participation
- Accommodation and welfare support
- Site visits and external activities
- Definition of Reasonable Adjustments
Reasonable adjustments are practical, proportionate, and appropriate measures taken to remove or minimise disadvantages experienced by delegates due to:
- Physical disabilities
- Sensory impairments
- Medical conditions or chronic illnesses
- Mental health conditions
- Neurodiverse conditions and specific learning differences
- Temporary injuries or conditions
Adjustments are considered “reasonable” where they:
- Effectively reduce disadvantage
- Are practical within the context of the programme
- Do not compromise health and safety
- Do not fundamentally alter the nature of the programme
- Principles
EED is guided by the following principles:
- Inclusivity: All delegates should have equal opportunity to participate
- Dignity and respect: Delegates are treated with sensitivity and confidentiality
- Fairness: Adjustments are applied consistently and proportionately
- Practicality: Adjustments must be feasible within programme constraints
- Collaboration: EED works with delegates and partner institutions to identify appropriate solutions
- Types of Reasonable Adjustments
EED may provide adjustments including, but not limited to, the following:
6.1 Learning and Teaching
- Provision of joining notes in advance where feasible
- Clear and structured delivery of content
- Adaptation of teaching pace or communication style where appropriate
6.2 Participation and Engagement
- Flexibility in participation in discussions or activities
- Alternative formats for engagement where appropriate
- Support for group work where required
6.3 Assessment and Academic Activities
- Additional time for written or reflective tasks where applicable
- Flexibility in submission formats where appropriate
- Adjustments to presentation methods where necessary
6.4 Physical Environment
- Coordination with partner venues to provide accessible accommodation where available
- Allocation of accessible teaching rooms where possible
- Consideration of mobility requirements within programme venues
6.5 Programme Delivery and Logistics
- Adjustments to schedules where reasonably required
- Consideration of accessibility during site visits and external activities
- Provision of rest breaks or flexibility in attendance where appropriate
- Disclosure and Requests
Delegates are encouraged to disclose any specific requirements as early as possible to enable effective planning. This should ideally be done:
- During the application or registration process
- At least two weeks prior to the programme start date
Requests should include sufficient information to allow EED to assess and respond appropriately. Supporting documentation may be requested where necessary.
EED recognises that some delegates may choose not to disclose information. In such cases, EED will provide general support where possible but may be limited in the adjustments it can offer.
- Assessment and Implementation
All requests for reasonable adjustments will be considered on a case-by-case basis. The assessment will take into account:
- The nature and extent of the delegate’s needs
- The structure, duration, and intensity of the programme
- The facilities available at partner venues
- Health and safety considerations
- The impact on other delegates and programme delivery
EED will:
- Engage in dialogue with the delegate where needed
- Liaise with relevant staff and partner institutions
- Confirm agreed adjustments prior to programme delivery where possible
- Limitations
EED will make every reasonable effort to accommodate requests. However, due to:
- The short and intensive nature of programmes
- The use of historic or external venues
- Logistical and operational constraints
It may not be possible to implement all requested adjustments.
Where this occurs, EED will:
- Clearly communicate the reasons
- Explore alternative or partial solutions
- Provide appropriate support within available resources
- Confidentiality and Data Protection
All personal information disclosed in relation to reasonable adjustments will be handled in accordance with applicable data protection requirements.
Information will:
- Be treated as confidential
- Only be shared on a need-to-know basis
- Be used solely for the purpose of supporting the delegate
- Roles and Responsibilities
EED Responsibilities

- To consider and implement reasonable adjustments where feasible
- To ensure staff are aware of inclusive practices
- To communicate clearly and transparently with delegates
Delegate Responsibilities
- To disclose needs in a timely and accurate manner
- To provide relevant information where required

Feedback from delegates and staff will be used to inform continuous improvement.
