Attendance Monitoring Policy

1. Purpose: 

1.1. The Attendance Monitoring Policy is established to ensure consistent attendance and punctuality among delegates attending programmes at EED. 

1.2. This policy aims to promote active participation, maximise learning opportunities, and maintain the integrity of the educational experience.

2. Formal Attendance Monitoring: 

2.1. EED administrators conduct discreet monitoring of attendance during programme sessions. 

2.2. On-site administrators are responsible for actively monitoring attendance and punctuality. 

2.3. Attendance records are maintained by EED administrators for internal reference and documentation purposes.

3. Informal Attendance Monitoring: 

3.1. While formal attendance records are not kept, EED emphasises the importance of attendance and punctuality. 

3.2. Continuous efforts are made to enhance attendance monitoring through regular reminders and communication with delegates and group leaders.

4. Attendance Requirements: 

4.1. Delegates are expected to attend all scheduled sessions of the programme. 

4.2. Absence from more than two sessions without valid reasons may result in certificates being withheld. 

4.3. Valid reasons for absence include medical emergencies, family emergencies, or other extenuating circumstances deemed acceptable by EED.

5. Monitoring Mechanisms: 

5.1. EED employs various monitoring mechanisms, including manual attendance tracking by administrators and automated reminders sent to delegates and group leaders. 

5.2. Group leaders are responsible for ensuring the attendance of their respective delegates and providing timely updates to EED administrators regarding any deviations from the schedule.

6. Enforcement: 

6.1. Failure to comply with attendance requirements may result in disciplinary actions, including but not limited to certificate withholding or exclusion from future programmes. 

6.2. EED reserves the right to take appropriate measures to address persistent absenteeism or punctuality issues, including termination of enrollment.

7. Review and Updates: 

7.1. This policy will be periodically reviewed and updated as necessary to reflect changes in operational procedures, regulatory requirements, or best practices. 

7.2. Any proposed revisions to the Attendance Monitoring Policy will be communicated to all relevant stakeholders for feedback and approval.

8. Compliance: 

8.1. All delegates, group leaders, and EED staff members are required to comply with the Attendance Monitoring Policy. 

8.2. Non-compliance with this policy may result in disciplinary action in accordance with EED’s disciplinary procedures.

This Attendance Monitoring Policy is designed to ensure accountability, transparency, and fairness in monitoring delegate attendance and punctuality throughout EED programmes.
